This is a modification of the Milan-2 of the 84th year. His rocket flies 2000 meters for 12 seconds. The launch engine pushes the rocket out of the launch container. To compensate for the recoil and reduce the flame, the launch tube flies back. The rocket is accelerated to a maximum speed of 200 m/s by a marching engine. It turns on at a distance of 3 meters from the starting point. Commands to the rocket are transmitted via thin wires that are unwound from the rocket. Such systems began to be used in the 60s. In the seventies, ATGMs of the 2nd generation appeared - semi-automatic. Here, the operator must not guide the missile itself, but keep the sight mark on the target. The most famous of such complexes are the Soviet Fagot, the American TOU, which is still in service in the United States, and the Franco-German Milan. After our Stugnas and American Javelins began to burn Russian tanks by the hundreds, there are disputes about the place in the troops of the Fagots and Milans inherited from the USSR and handed over to us by France. In our army, today Milan is compared with the Soviet complex 9K111 - Fagot. If we do not take into account the fact that Fagot can fire a 9M113 missile from the Konkurs self-propelled complex, which flies at a distance of 4 km, then the performance characteristics of peers are almost the same. Both have armor penetration from 600 to 1000 mm, depending on the modification. The weight of various rockets is 12-13 kg. The firing range also fluctuates with the increase in newer versions. Differences are noticeable when using the complex. In particular, after the shot in Milan, the eyepiece does not have a glowing reticle, as Fagot has. France handed over the first Milans to Ukraine at the end of April. Almost immediately, our military began to destroy the occupiers with them. Knowing the capabilities of the complex, rockets were mostly fired at fortifications and lightly armored vehicles. At 1700 meters, the rocket flew for about 10 seconds. All the time, the ATGM calculation was near the installation. A projectile from a BMP-2 cannon covers this distance in less than 3 seconds. Our boys need nerves of steel to bring the rocket to the target. Starting with the Milan-2 modification, some complexes can be equipped with MIRA night sights and there are more modern modifications. But we have not encountered such things on the front line yet. Stugna and Javelins are now doing the night tasks here. So keep an eye on the Armaments project. I believe in the Armed Forces!
