The Uyghurs are a Turkic, mostly Muslim people living in a province of northwestern China called Xinjiang. However, they started out as Buddhist nomads in the steppes of Mongolia. In this video, we will discuss how the Uyghurs migrated and changed their religion over the course of several centuries.
