Due to the critical situation in Avdiivka, the Third Assault Brigade is redeployed to reinforce Ukrainian units. The soldiers of the 3rd Brigade enter the city and, having stabilized the line of contact, take up the defense. Taking into account the risk of encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka, the command decides to withdraw the defense forces from the city. The task of the Third Assault Brigade is to become a rearguard and ensure the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, holding one of the flanks. The video, filmed with a GoPro camera, shows the heavy infantry defensive battles fought by the soldiers of the Third Assault Brigade. They have to hold the line on the ruins of former homes of local residents. The occupiers have a serious advantage in weapons and equipment. They are using anti-aircraft guns, mortars, artillery, cluster munitions, and FPV drones. Having a numerical advantage, they do not spare infantry. The defenders of Avdiivka had to repel endless attacks, holding their positions in conditions of lack of ammunition, food and water. They had only a few hours a day to sleep, and had to control their flanks 360 degrees. The footage shows the gloomy atmosphere of a bombed-out Ukrainian city. But despite the heavy fighting, the soldiers manage to keep their morale high and not lose their sense of humor, as they are fighting shoulder to shoulder with their reliable comrades. For some soldiers, Avdiivka was their first combat deployment where they proved to be 100% efficient and fulfilled their tasks. During the fighting in Avdiivka, the soldiers of the 3rd Brigade inflicted serious losses on the Russian attack group. Thanks to the heroism and high combat capability of the brigade's soldiers, the enemy failed to encircle the Ukrainian forces in Avdiivka. The Third Assault Brigade fulfilled the order, ensuring the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and only after that the soldiers of the 3rd Brigade left the city.
