Energy Trials - Part 3 | The Lion Whisperer. This video concludes our series, Energy Trials. At the beginning of the series, researchers Genevieve and Natalia set out to measure how much energy lions need on a day-to-day basis. They approached the computer science team at the University of Oxford who helped them design an accelerometer that was attached to collars and fitted on the lions in order to measure lions acceleration on 3 different axes, forward/backwards, up/down and left/right. As some of you predicted... not all the collars stayed on the lions! Genevieve and Natalia did not let this affect their research and decided to carry on with the trials as 5 of the lion's collars remained fastened and in working condition.
