The word "kebab" is said to be of Persian origin and means "to burn, char". Later, kebab began to be called meat roasted in any way. And there are many names for it in different nations: döner-kebab, shish-kebab, lulya-kebab, zyrynchli-kebab, chag-kebab, tava kebab.
