🇸🇪 Swedish Gripen Fighter Jet. Why is 🇺🇦 looking for these airplanes as an addition to the F-16?

Ukrainian pilots have completed assesment training on Swedens main multirole fighter jet: The Gripen. But why is Ukraine looking for these airplanes as an addition to the F-16? there are many reasons. The planes are relativley cheap, easy to maintain, small AND: they might be delivered even faster than the F-16s. The biggest advantage though should be its weapons capabilities, especially the METEOR, a air to air missile with beyond visual capabilities that is described as the best in the world.
