Jordan Foreign Ministry announces it has immediately recalled its ambassador to Israel

We’ve just received a statement by Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs saying it had summoned the country’s ambassador to Israel immediately over the war in Gaza. It added that Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi had directed the ministry to inform the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to return its ambassador, who had previously left the kingdom. The return of the ambassadors to their positions was conditioned on Israel halting its war on Gaza, the statement said.
