How to plaster walls with clay | SWR craftsmanship / Wie man Wände mit Lehm verputzt | SWR Handwerkskunst
Clay plasters are now socially acceptable - they are sustainable, free of harmful substances, healthy for the indoor climate and they are no longer coarse and brown as they used to be. Nowadays, smooth, elegant surfaces in many colors are possible with clay. Master plasterer Norbert Millich from Argenbühl in the Allgäu region of Württemberg shows what is important when working with clay and what is possible with this traditional building material that is thousands of years old.
Norbert Millich started out with his own house - which he plastered with clay from his garden. Today, twenty years later, he and his wife Birgit have acquired and refined special techniques with which they turn walls into real design elements in the living space.
