European badger | Meles meles | Jezevec lesní

The European badger (Meles meles) is a burrowing mammal that sleeps in a sett most of the day. In the spring however, when there are juveniles in the den, the badgers sometimes come out before the sunset. This is the best time to film these otherwise nocturnal animals. The babies are cute little rascals who like to play around the entrance of the burrow and in the surrounding forest. Their mother keeps guard and watches over her offspring.
